Dishwasher installation in Greenville and the Upstate
Dishwasher installation with proper water, drain and shutoff connections, plus ice maker lines and washing machine hookups.
Do I need a plumber to install a dishwasher?
A dishwasher needs a water supply, a drain connection with an air gap or high loop, and power. A licensed plumber makes sure the drain and water connections meet code and do not leak into your cabinets. Ethical Plumbing installs dishwashers you bought and removes the old one. Call 864-438-0525.

Hooked up to last
Most dishwasher leaks come from the hookup: a reused supply line, a drain hose with no high loop, or a loose connection at the disposal. Those leaks run into the cabinet and subfloor where nobody sees them.
We install a dedicated shutoff, a new supply line, and a drain connection with a proper high loop or air gap. If the dishwasher drains into a garbage disposal, we make sure the knockout plug is removed and the connection is tight. Then we run a cycle and check for leaks.
Other appliance connections
We also install:
- Refrigerator ice maker and water lines
- Washing machine outlet boxes
- Leak-stop valves for washers
- Utility and laundry sinks
- Water heater and softener connections
- Leak sensors under appliances

Dishwasher installation FAQs
How long does dishwasher installation take?
Usually one to two hours for a replacement.
Do you connect the electrical?
We connect existing power where it is ready. New circuits are done by an electrician.
What is a high loop?
Routing the drain hose up under the counter so dirty sink water cannot flow back into the dishwasher.
Why does my dishwasher leave water in the bottom?
Often a clogged filter or a kinked or clogged drain connection. If the sink drains slowly too, the drain line may be the problem.
Can you run a water line to my refrigerator?
Yes. We run a new line with a shutoff, using braided or copper tubing instead of plastic.
Do you install washing machine boxes?
Yes, including recessed outlet boxes with shutoffs and leak-stop valves.
Do you remove the old dishwasher?
Yes, we remove and dispose of it.
Can you install a dishwasher where there was none?
Usually, if there is cabinet space. It needs water, drain and power run to the spot.
